There was a night

There was a night,

I remember,

We were across the street from your apartment building

The weather was mild with a tiny crispness

We were saying our goodbyes

A long goodbye

And you buttoned up my jacket

So sad

Yet so much care

That was a moment

That I’ll remember

Your love for me.
