Kissing Someone

Last night,

I kissed someone.

And she wasn’t you.

And each time I kiss someone else,

You’ll be moving further away.

Love (Version #21)

Struggle.

Should it be?

Who is to know.

I am one to certainly know,

that there are no rules,

and if there were rules,

I would bend them, break them, morph them, crack them, disobey them, ruin them, destroy them, conquer them.

If there were rules about love.

But there are no rules about love.

Found Hair

As I twisted about,

Twisted around,

I came up in the morning

Woken to Charlie yelling at me

No sunlight hit my face.

I awoke

Slowly rolled and climbed

Lowered myself to the ground

And as i did

What did I see

But a single hair

Falling from my bed

A hair from you.

Mashed Potatoes

I got this email from my mother the other day. I wanted to share it with you.

Subject: mashed potatoes

Date: Oct 12, 2006 9:28 AM

great news! If you enjoy REAL mashed potatoes (not instant) go to the supermarket,

in the dairy section and find a container called Diner’s Choice.

It comes in a huge tub in a few styles and pretty healthy too.

I tried Country Style Mashed. It is to die for.

You microwave it as isand add margerine if you want.

It is real potatoes made with skim milk, not alot of fat.

it is not frozen so it is dated and it is refrigerated.

They have garlic mashed and others. Yabba dabba doo!

I would say it serves 2-3...

I found this by chance...what a nice surprise....run don’t walk.....

if you need the taste of real comfort food that is healthy too :)

September End

(I)

Month’s end is here

My eyes shed lonely tears

My heart is bleeding

Like the Antarctic Sea

Love for you has not disappeared

The symphony awaits your attendance

Passenger trains are filled

With but one love

When blue eyes of Kansas met blue eyes of York

No one told us there would be a solar eclipse

(II)

I wish not to sleep alone tonight

My sheets await your arrival

Do not stay out too late

I’ll keep the light on

Claim that you are free

And become my forever angel

You are my compass to life’s journey

A path in the commitment of two warm hearts

(III)

Take my hand

Waltz with me

Through the hall of love

Showering arrows from heaven above

I’ll put on my finest suit

You’ll wear your softest silk

We’ll dine on the breadth of the moon

Backlit among the lights of Paris

(IV)

Let my tongue greet your October thighs

Like it has never done before

It’s me down below

Licking at your morning dew

Let our cries of tender desire

Rattle the ground that all others walk upon

And let our love making sweat

Make the sun jealous

(V)

Month’s end is here

My eyes shed lonely tears

The autumn air has moved across the Hudson

Each day gets colder as they go by

I hear the screams from your heart

Your deepest part always welcomed

A sunset without you in my life

Is like volcanic ash filling my lungs at night

I leave my love with one last sentence

Live as if there were no tomorrow

Heavy Heart

I’ve got a heavy heart.

Its weighted down so heavy.

Heavier than a gallon of milk.

And heavier than a bucket of apples.

Heavier than a bundle of potatoes.

And a bushel of hay.

Heavier than a stack of stones.

And a layer of bricks.

Heavier than an anvil.

And a metric ton.

Heavier than an elephant.

And heavier than an eighteen wheeler.

Heavier than a city aquarium.

And heavier than the Empire State Building.

Heavier than all the trees in the great red woods of Northern California.

And heavier than all the boulders that hold up Mt. Fuji.

Heavier than the planet in which we live on.

And heavier than our galaxy.

My heart is so heavy.

Because its weight carries so much love for you.

Letting Love

This evening we shared a smile.

A glimpse, a glare.

There you were, there I was.

We exchanged love, without anyone else on the sidewalk knowing.

I was the man that swept, you remember when, so do I.

So let love live, and live love.

The World Knows

I lowered the light.

I turned down the covers.

I wish you good night.

I stepped back from the situation.

I returned to my home.

I don’t want any more complication.

I have a few more fights up my sleeve.

I know that we’ll be one.

I am confident that we both believe.

I am the author of your dream.

I encompass your heart.

I flow like a conscious stream.

I traveled far from above.

I was brought down from heaven.

I am your love.

I blossom like a flower.

I am the knight on your horse.

I bestow my status as bachelor.

I sailed the high sea.

I looked no further than your blue eyes.

I opened myself free.

I drift in harmony.

I cherish my moments with you.

I hold them closely.

I catapult to the stars when in your embrace.

I kiss you forever past midnight’s clock.

I float above earth without a trace.

I do not hide.

I have deep feelings for you.

I will not subside.

I complete your heart.

I encountered your soul.

I think it’s time to start.

I rescue you of your ache.

I claim my heart belongs to you.

I ask you to awake.

I rise to the morning dew.

I wish so much that you were at my side.

I declare the world knows, that I love you.

Ability

I have lost my ability

To reason & think

I cannot calculate my calculations

I have lost my ability

To cook & clean

I cannot even tie my shoe laces

I have lost my ability

To brush my teeth & comb my hair

I cannot even rinse with mouth wash

Because

I admit

I am consumed

With thoughts of you

Bravery In The Window

Dear Lover,

I hope this note finds you well.

I haven’t heard from you in weeks.

Really heard, really listened.

I haven’t had you close, near.

Have you caught the trade winds in your sails?

Have you realized your unhappiness can be pure bliss?

Have you determined the reality of your senses?

Have you executed any new decisions?

I hope progress is moving in forward directions.

I have been waiting and time is ticking.

Time is only on my side, not yours.

I have been available for years.

The window is now open,

But only for a little while longer.

So be brave,

And seize the opportunity.

Belong

Who belongs to who?

What cult? What religion?

Gather up your belongings.

Hold my hand along the way.

We’ll climb up the mountainside.

We’ll tumble down the street.

Cold

It’s been cold in my office for days now.

Unusual.

Even more unusual that I’m actually putting on another shirt.

Yes, even I’m a bit chilly. Or, perhaps even cold.

And when this coldness surrounds me,

I can’t help but think of you,

And all the days you’ve been cold in your office.

Putting on your extra layers,

And sipping your hot chocolate.

This cold,

It reminds me of you,

And how much I love you.

Plastic Wrapper

Do you know what it’s like?

To not be able to open the plastic wrapper?

Your mind wants to

Your fingertips wish too

But your coordination cannot succeed

Because you are not yourself

You are not you

The car travels on Route 6

Over Bear Mountain

You know who the champion is

But that does not matter

Your heart beats

But still

You are not you

Speaking with the person across from you

Dinner on the table

You may fall asleep not knowing

What tomorrow will bring

Not knowing when the switch will turn

You are not you

So, you put on the repeats

You read nothing

Taste nothing

Speak to no one

You have no Mr.

You have no misses

Alone trapped in a mirror

Suicide is an option

You are not you

Shatter the glass

Not Picasso

Not on the 12th floor

And let her watch

As you get thrown down in restraints

Let her cry knowing

She never got to love

You are not you

Do you know what it’s like?

To not be able to open the plastic wrapper?

I bet you don’t

And you thought you’d make it out alive

I assure you

You can’t

Because

You are not you

Cannons

When I hear the cannons,

I think of you.

In beautiful white.

Walking to the completion of yourself.

Your life long partner.

The love of your life.

Reflection of your spirit.

Your soulmate.

When I hear the cannons,

I’ll be waiting for years but only minutes.

Arrive in my arms and become forever mine.

Hold my hands and interlock.

Become the woman you’ve dreamed of.

The one half of me, and I, the one half of you.

Let the orchestra play.

And the guests gaze in amazement.

When I hear the cannons,

You are beautiful.

With the gorgeous smile you possess.

The walk you dance.

Your blue eyes glaring at mine.

Captivating every chamber of my heart.

I am yours.

And you are mine.

When I hear the cannons,

Peace is through the land.

The sun shines on rainy days.

Clouds part to display doves in flight.

Your heart mixes with mine.

Together we become one.

And one we are.

Because it is love we share.

Don’t Look At Me

Look the other way,

I don’t want you to see me like this.

Don’t look at me.

I’m in pieces,

little bits,

fragments.

I’m in shit.

Don’t look at my pimply face.

My scars.

My ratty hair.

My dandruff.

Look over there.

Not at me.

I’m horrible.

My puss oozes.

My hair is falling out.

I stink a stench.

Get away from me.

You don’t want to be around me.

Look at me fall apart.

My finger nails bitten.

Lint between my toes

And my ass crack.

Who am I?

I’ve been sleeping these streets.

Poor these streets.

I’m in puddles of filth.

Spit & urine.

Who am I?

Don’t look at me.

I’m nothing.

Not even a discarded piece of trash.

I am but trash. Garbage. Rotten.

Look at my teeth.

Yellow. Aged. Old.

I’m death.

And death parted me.

Start The Break, Break The Start

Don’t start the break before you even started.

Don’t break the start before we even started.

Start before you break.

And break after you start.

But never break before you start.

So don’t break the start.

Instead, start after the break.

And don’t break the start.

You can’t start the break before you start.

So start before the break and after the break.

Break the start and start the break.

Start the break and break the start.

Of You

Elderly

Years from now

I’ll look back on these days

The choices I had made

And come to the very same conclusion

That I have concluded today

Just moments ago

I have concluded

That without hesitation

Or delayed thought

I am one hundred percent positive

That I love you.
